Katherine Heigl recently spoke out about growing up within "a white bubble." The actress also discusses how this experience has affected the parenting style of her adoptees who are multi-racial. She revealed in an interview recently that, in terms of the color of her skin the issue isn't that important. After speaking with her sister, who was adopted in South Korea she realized just how differently society treats people of different races. "I asked Meg whether she felt different when she went out with our parents and when she went out alone. Meg replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl told parents: "That was when I was aware of how foolish I had caused me to feel." The actress said that she was upset, but she felt that she had to channel her anger to aid adopt her daughters. Heigl is with Josh Kelley for 13 years and has a son named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. In 2009, the couple adopted Nancy Leigh (12), one of their daughters from South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in 2012.
