Katherine Heigl reveals that she grew up in a white bubble, and how this realization affected how she raised adopted multiracial kids. In an interview, she spoke about the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared that her appearance didn't concern her. But after talking to her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society treated them, she became aware of how much different they were. "I asked Meg whether she felt different when she went out with our parents and the times she was out by herself. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl spoke to Parents about when she realized her ignorance. According to the actor, she became angry. But, she was determined to channel this energy into helping the girls she adopted. Heigl and her long-time husband -- the singer Josh Kelley -- have four-year-old son Joshua Bishop Kelley, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl was adopted by the couple in 2012.
