Actor Katherine Heigl is opening herself about her experience of being born into a "white bubble" and how the revelation has affected the way she parents her adopted multiracial children. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said in the past that when it comes to the color of her skin, it doesn't really matter. After speaking with her sister who is adopted in South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats people of different races. I wanted to know Meg if, when out with her parents, she received a certain treatment while out on her own she received a different kind of treatment. Meg replied "Oh, yes, every moment!" This made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to parents. Heigl said she got angry and felt that it was important to focus her anger on helping her adoptee daughters. Sheigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4. together for thirteen years. Their child Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl they adopted in 2012.
