Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. Audrey Tautou's parents, who were a dentist and teacher in a school were supportive and encouraged by her passion for acting and theatre. Her initial dream to become a master monkey was surpassed by her desire to learn about drama and theater. Her rise to fame as an actor in the young age was quick and marked by early success. The beginning of her career came in 1999, the year she first began performing professionally. After her studies, Tautou participated in the French talent scouting television programme Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was born into the context of a Catholic home, and was a member of the religious services, despite having was a student at The Institut Catholique de Paris. Alongside her acting career, Tautou has also been a model and the model in the advertising campaign for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. Also, she has an intense passion for photography. She recently exhibited her work for the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. Her photos are mostly about famous people and celebrities. Also, they include a collection of self portraits in addition. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her role debut as Amelie Poulain from Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie has been an international box office success and praised at many award events around the globe. It's the biggest French film in the history of French language to be made in the US. Following this success Tautou starred in a wide range of movies ranging including British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood through Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
