Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was the first to achieve a perfect 10 during an Olympic event. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach when she was six years old. The year 1969 was the first time she took part at the Romanian Junior Championships and placed 13th. She won in 1970. In her first international competition in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974 she was overall junior champion. In 1975, she took home 4 gold and 1 silver in her first senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the first woman to complete the reverse double salo of the bar with a parallel surface after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne into the realm of entertainment started when she was a teenager. Together with her sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on the 6th of September 1942 on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in entertainment in her teens. She began her professional career by performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment programs Ice Capades. Ice Capades was a show that featured skating on ice performed by actors.
