Richard B. Cheney a distinguished businessman and public servant, is vice-president of the United States. Cheney, a well-known face on the scene of Washington politics, worked for four presidents of the United States. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush chose Cheney as his vice president in July of 2000 with a reference to his expertise and wisdom. Dick Cheney served as the chief of staff for a president, was an elected representative in Congress as well as the secretary of defense. Both Republicans as well as Democrats appreciate his integrity. Cheney says the role he plays as part of the administration of a straightforward but discreet advisor to Bush. Cheney claimed that after he was accepted as the Republican nomination for vice president Cheney hoped to working with a president who could work with a wide range of political parties and with political rivals on a good basis with shared visions. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th January of 1941 at Lincoln Nebraska. In 1941, when Richard Bruce Cheney was 13 years old, he and his family relocated from Lincoln Nebraska to Casper Wyoming in the state where his father worked for his position as the head of U.S. Department of Agriculture's regional conservation districts.
